How is it possible to remain joyful all the time? Paul gives us the key: “Rejoice in the Lord always” (emphasis added). The key to the Christian’s joy is its source, which is the Lord.
Today is the first Monday in this month of December and we can not but be grateful.
Christ is in me and I am in Him, it’s such a golden experience and we can not take it for granted. As Christian we are always in the Lord and the Lord is in us, and that is always a reason for joy. Even if the Christian cannot rejoice in the circumstances, if he finds himself passing through pain, sorrow, or grief, he still can rejoice in Christ.
We rejoice in the Lord, and since He never leaves us or forsakes us, we can rejoice always.
I come to that pure joy in my spirit that isn’t dependent on my feelings, my situations, how others treat me, or anything else.
Then it is possible to rejoice – always! It sure would be nice with a vacation right now, but if it doesn’t work out, that inner joy that I have isn’t dampened. Rather, I can use the opportunity to get rid of every ingratitude and demands in my flesh and anything that goes against God’s will and His laws.
Be filled with that true, lasting joy that comes from doing God’s will and being transformed.
I have a faithful Creator who knows what is best for me. I can do God’s will today, partake of the sufferings of Christ, and be filled with the joy of victory! That’s why Jesus’ true disciples are the happiest people on earth.
I choose Joy! What about you?
In His Love,
Nike
